p r o c e s s.Д«ut on Saturday, we had other obligations. There were only two people processing applications and fingerprints. Some people didn't know all that was required and had to leave and caused confusion when they wanted to come back to the front of the line while others were shouting for them to go to the end. Many people didn't know that they were coming until the day before or even the same day. The problem was that it wasn't well-organized. So it was great that the necessary officials came from Nigeria for people in the Detroit area to do their passports. So you have to travel there if you want to do anything with a passport. It's a shame because even though there's an embassy in Washington D.C., they basically ignore anyone who contacts them by mail or phone. People had come from Abuja so that we could renew our Nigerian passports or apply for them for the first time. Saturday is when the real wahala started. She failed to plan the logistics of the night, so afterwards, the people who came to see her ended up eating the stuff in the parking lot.

My friend even ordered meatpies and fishrolls from me, so I got me a little cash. It was quite a lovely event with a live saxophonist, a keynote address from one of Detroit's well-known pastors, and a candle-lighting ceremony. Last Friday I attended my friend's induction into an academic honor society. Let me tell you what happened last weekend. My people, what's going on? Your family, kwanu? Your children, nko? Lol. I wanted to engage my page likers, so I put out this message: On the Facebook fan page for this blog I felt like the page was just sitting there collecting digital dust. I've found it somewhat therapeutic to sit down and hit the keys to talk about a random subject or something that just pricked my heart. Looking back, I've enjoyed talking about books I think are cool, events at my school, my trip to Haiti, a bold online suitor, Nigerian nurse syndrome, graduating, my deep desire to visit Nigeria, dollar choppers, heart-shaped potatoes, my mom's Facebook habits, and much more! Lol. And just to let you know, I REALLY appreciate comments, so thank you to those who do drop a line or two on my posts. When I started this thing two years ago, I really didn't know what to expect, but I'm glad for the warm reception I've gotten. Apparently this church has been bringing people in from all over L.A. He has currently had a huge role in the music of 'Angelus Temple', a Los Angeles Church pastored by Matthew Barnett. Coffey has been involved with music for years, traveling and truly living a life of kindness and sweet southern charm. Coffey is a fresh new look and feel for country music and it is quite evident that America is looking for exactly he brings to the table. He is currently one of the twelve finalists on NBC's 'Nashville Star' and is captivating audiences all around America. Coffey's first priority is his 5 year old daughter, Savanna, and making a living for her. He's got it all going for him including an incredible voice, creativity, charm, and America's heart.
